Description:
Key Responsibilities
· Plan, direct, or coordinate material flow, warehousing, forecasting, customer service; issue and develop an operations plan for business units to achieve company goals. Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.
· Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
· Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
· Arrange warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments
· Develop an operations plan for business units to achieve company goals.
· Optimize operations plan to meet changing business needs.
· Identify and implement process improvements and cost optimization initiatives.
· Resolve any arising problems or complaints
· Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
· Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
· Create policies or procedures for logistics activities.
· Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
· Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
· Negotiate transportation rates or services, to achieve purchase feasibility.
· Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
· Direct distribution center operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives.
· Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
· Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
· Review global, national, or regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities
· Issue logistics and planning status periodically reports.
Procurement:-
· Source new suppliers according to project requirements.
· Filter potential suppliers to pinpoint the most compatible among them.
· Provide the presales consultant with Bill of Material (BoM), shipping & customs estimated landed cost.
· Verify that all offers and quotations are valid to cover all projects’ execution period.
· Review & update submitted proposals against project scope & negotiate all terms
· Maintain suppliers relationships
· Update on a regular basis “Suppliers’ master data file” & ensure that all add new suppliers are added with all their contact details.
· Develop and nurture positive relationships with other departments, LoBs, vendors, and agents.
· Handle various requests from internal customers in a timely fashion.
· Maintain strong on-going relationships with the company’s vendors, partners and suppliers.
Requirements
· Graduate / MBA
· 3 to 5 years Middle East experience in GCC countries relevant function / industry.
· NOC / Local Release (Preferred).
· Oman / GCC Driving Licence
