Position Summary

 

  • Repair, adjust, or install all types of Air Conditions ad Home Appliances.

The appliance repair technician’s responsibilities include responding to calls to fix gas leaks, testing the functioning of newly installed appliances and making adjustments as needed, and informing customers of future maintenance work that may be required.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Be able to read simple schematic and electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Able to read and explain to customers installation and maintenance manuals
  • Able to demonstrate correct functioning of appliances and safety points to customers
  • Understand the specification and features of electrical appliances, protections and safety measures.
  • Hand On work experience on Room Air conditioners, Refrigerators, Washing machines, Gas Cookers, Dishwashers and/or other household appliances.
  • Able to diagnose faults in appliances, identify the fault and repair the same.
  • Able to dismantle the parts of appliances and replace the same with correct ones.
  • Able to read part manuals and order correct part codes.
  • Able to use the correct tools and tackles of the trade
  • Be able to ensure proper work procedures with regards to safety and work area hygiene.
  • Be able to correctly operate the appliance and explain the same to the customer.
  • Be able to communicate in general spoken English and write the basic documents such as job reports, cash receipts etc.
  • Be able to hear patiently and understand the customer’s obvious and hidden needs in lieu of his appliance.
  • Updating of repair service orders in SAP , be able to work on computer basics(desired)

 

Requirements

 

  • ITI/NCVT in Air conditioning or Mechanical trade from a recognized institute.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in the relevant industry, preferably from OEMs, Authorized Sales & Service dealers, Service Franchisees of consumer durables (white goods) service industry.
  • Age: Up to 35 years of age.
  • NOC / Local Release preferred.
