Position Summary
Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems. Implement security measures. Monitor security certificates and company compliance with requirements. Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems.
Plan, direct and oversee activities dealing with a company’s computer and information systems. The IT manager coordinates jobs related to the hardware, software, and network that the business uses.
Key Responsibilities
· Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems.
· Implement security measures.
· Monitor security certificates and company compliance with requirements.
· Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems.
· Install and update company software and hardware as needed.
· Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items.
· Evaluating the organization’s IT needs and finding ways to improve the products and systems in place for enhanced productivity, security, and efficiency.
· Recommending upgrades and enhancements to top management, explaining the key benefits of new tech-based investments for the business.
· Developing and overseeing the IT policy, security measures, and best practices for the company
· Scheduling and supervising IT projects such as upgrades, migrations, system updates, and outages.
· Identifying opportunities for IT training and developing classes that will equip employees to make the best use of the products and systems available.
· Maintains the SLA on development, test, and production infrastructure by proactively monitoring, troubleshooting, and fixing software problems.
· Present weekly to upper management - Service Escalations and Statistics along with Corrective Actions/Preventive Actions
· Ensure production security standards are followed
· Ensure monitoring is robust and effective
· Zero downtime deployments and a high availability mind-set
· Capacity planning and Hardware requests.
Requirements
· Degree / Diploma in Information Systems / Computer Science / Equivalent qualifications.
· Minimum 5+ years experience in the IT field, Work experience in the FMCG industry is preferred.
· Strong knowledge of system configuration tools.
· Knowledge about hardware and software configuration for servers, networks, computers, and peripherals.
· Extensive familiarity with information security practices and procedures to protect organization data from intrusion or corruption.
- Troubleshoot networks, computers, and devices, excellent creative and technical problem-solvers
- Effective written and verbal communication skills are vital in this role since IT specialists work directly with users and IT department personnel.
- Need to easily move between duties and responsibilities to effectively prioritize and manage their schedules.
