Position Summary
Assists the Mechanical Engineer in designing, testing, perfecting and maintaining products, machinery and equipment. The responsibilities include maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all mechanical, hydraulic and processing equipment including resolving motor ,Valves , pump, conveyor and hydraulic problems
Key Responsibilities
· Check equipment and operating systems and correct wherever necessary.
· Ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality.
· Resolve motor, pump, conveyor and hydraulic problems.
· Ensure high level technical support to lower level technicians.
· Show expertise in working with team and independently.
· Comply with company safety guidelines and procedures.
· Repair and perform preventive maintenance as per established standards.
· Use hand tools like power tools and rigging equipment daily.
· Weld using cutting torch.
· Handle simple and complex heavy industrial equipment like forklifts, scissor lifts, basket trucks and bobcats.
· Comply with company and customer regulations and policies.
· Handle personal tools for job including up-to-date documented personal tool lists.
· Handle time accounting ad complete work order.
· Manage positive customer and employee relations.
· Work all shifts flexibly when job demands
· Follows safety protocol, including wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes
· Ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality
· Diagnosing the issue and making the corresponding repairs to address malfunctioning machines
· Repair and perform preventive maintenance on machines as per established standards to avoid machine downtime
· Troubleshoot electrical controls for machines
· Keep Meticulous Records of Machine Service History
· Analyze Machine Test Results and make adjustments using diagnostic software and to meet Company Specifications and optimal performance
· Handle simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as homogenizer,Pasteurizer ,scissor lifts, basket trucks.
· Monitors work environment for hazards and maintains healthy ventilation levels to avoid particle or gas inhalation
Requirements
· Technical Diploma certification.
· Proven experience as a mechanical technician; Experience in dairy plant, industrial and/or commercial establishment will be a plus
· Knowledge of Mathematics pertaining to machinery and mechanical aptitude
· Ability to use variety of tools and equipment like screwdrivers, amplifiers, calipers, gas welding or cutting apparatus and power grinders
· Ability to read blueprints and recognize mechanical engineering related symbols and specifications
· critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills
· Knowledge of industry safety practices
· Knowledge of specific welding processes, such as TIG, MIG and ARC preferred
· Attention to Detail, Manual Dexterity, Physical Strength, Physical Stamina, Spatial Skills, Technical Skills
