Position Summary
operating bottle blow moulding, HDPE caps and IML containers and ensure that is carried out properly with bagging and labelling done appropriately.
Key Responsibilities
· Ensure that blow moulding of containers is done as per prescribed quality standards
· Ensure that Injection moulding of containers is done as per prescribed quality standards
- Ensure testing quality of containers
- Ensuring that the cap threads are aligned with those of the body of the container to prevent leakage and consequent spoilage of product
· Monitor capping performance during production runs and adjusting equipment where necessary
- Ensure hygiene standards are maintained through the packaging process
· Ensure that all local environmental requirements are duly adhered to
· Understand and ensure meeting the obligations of health and safety requirements of employment legislation.
· Identify and contain/minimize product packaging related health hazards reported by the consumer(s)
· Ensure availability of information regarding defective packaging for products identified during quality testing or reported by the consumer
· Effective communication within and outside the team
· Create a supportive environment for the team members
· Contribute to the team, letting others know information that may be useful or important
· Help to create a fun, supportive work environment
· Ensure accurate and up to date, daily, weekly, monthly records as required by the management.
· Ensure tasks are understood by the team members, and performed
responsibly and diligently
· Help others in the team if needed;
· Support relief staff in their duties
Requirements
· Technical Diploma certification.
· Advanced Diploma in Plastics Processing Technology or equivalent
· Overall experience of 5 years or more in Injection and Blow moulding (PET, HDPE, PP processing)
· Experience in packaging of dairy products will be preferred
- Familiar with injection and blow moulding equipment technology, plastics processing, and process trouble shooting.
- Familiar with auxiliaries such as chillers, compressors, material handling equipment and conveyer systems
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
- Intimate knowledge of production and packaging management
· Experience with GMP, Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Employment Standards regulatory requirements
