Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects, from planning and design through to execution and completion.
Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
Construction Management:
Oversee construction activities, including site preparation, foundation work, structural erection, and finishing, ensuring compliance with approved plans and specifications.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to coordinate resources and manage work progress effectively.
Quality and Safety Compliance:
Enforce strict adherence to quality assurance and quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets established standards and specifications.
Champion safety protocols and practices on the construction site, promoting a culture of safety among all team members and contractors.
Technical Expertise:
Provide technical guidance and solutions to resolve complex construction challenges a nd issues that may arise during project execution.
Review and approve construction drawings, designs, and engineering calculations for accuracy and compliance.
Resource Management
Efficiently allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize project efficiency and productivity.
Monitor and control project costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities and mitigating potential overruns.
Stakeholder Communication:
Foster clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
Collaborate with clients, consultants, and authorities to ensure alignment with project requirements and regulatory standards.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and guide construction teams, providing mentorship to junior engineers and site staff.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, professional growth, and high-performance results.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering and construction projects, with a significant portion spent in a supervisory or site engineering role.
· In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and industry best practices.
· Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects with a track record of successful delivery.
· Proficiency in relevant software tools, project management software, and engineering design software.
· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with Omani construction regulations and standards is highly desirable.
Professional certifications or affiliations with relevant engineering organizations.
