A leading Engineering Company is looking for qualified and experienced Sales Engineer – Switchgear for their Muscat Operations.
Position Overview
Responsible for Managing and developing sales for the electrical division of the company. (LV Switchgear). Estimate, Design, and Execution of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage switchgear projects.
Key Responsibilities
· To Estimate and Design the Low Voltage & Medium Voltage products as per the customer’s specifications, IEC Standards, regulations, safety requirements, and good engineering practices.
· Shall be able to select MV & LV Components as per SLD, Data Sheet & Specification majorly (VCB, VC, ACB, MCCB, VFD, Soft starter & protection Relays, etc.,)
· Shall be able to prepare SLD, G.A, three-line diagram, control schematic drawing, VT & CT connection diagram, equipment specification, BOQ, wiring diagram, the technical data sheet, and compliance statement for both L.V and Switchgear.
· Shall be able to prepare full submittal along with offer including project acknowledgment letter, Company Profile, complete technical drawing, Inspection & test plan (ITP) technical data sheet & catalogs, Project Schedule, material supplier list, the scope of Supply and Technical Compliance.
· Estimation & Engineering of Control & Relay/Protection panels.
· Comprehensive knowledge of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Electrical products & Components (ABB, Siemens, Eaton & Schneider Electric).
· Good knowledge of L.V/M.V CT sizing calculation & selection of metering & protection relays (ABB, Siemens, SEL, and GE).
· Shall be able to negotiate with Principles & Vendors to provide optimized cost to the Sales team.
· Shall have good knowledge of Sheet Metal Costing & labor Costing
· Owns the job and give the productivity and ensure all routine jobs are effectively done irrespective of the hurdles and meet the commitment
· Provide technical support during bidding stage & post order stage(technical support to get variation claim)
· Technical evaluation and deviation approval on the alternate item received during project execution.
· Providing Estimated price during pre-bidding stage for tenders and post order stage for projects.
· Supports during the project execution stage
· Attending a technical meeting with Contactor/Consultant/Clients during pre-order and post-order stage along with sales team.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
· Proven experience of 7-12 Years in technical sales, particularly in switchgear or electrical equipment.
· Prior Experience in GCC is a plus
· Strong understanding of electrical systems and switchgear products.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
· Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve sales targets.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
· Willingness to travel as needed.
