Description:

Purpose of Position:

1. Achieve Budgeted Sales in terms of numbers and price.

2. Be a brand ambassador and build brand image for the products.

3. Forecast and track annual, quarterly, and monthly car sales to maximize gross

profits.

4. Ensure stock of correct product mix.

5. Conceptualize marketing strategies to enhance sales.

 

Major Roles:

1. Develop a sales system and put in place processes and procedures to monitor,

follow up and close a sale.

2. Analyze, plan and implement programs for creation of brand image including

conceptualizing advertisements and other campaigns.

3. Market research / surveys to understand market dynamics and position the brands,

understand customer choice process, and to monitor competitor moves.

4. Develop appropriate sales strategies.

5. Provide leadership to the sales staff.

6. Ensure that all Sales staff follow proper documentation pertaining to a sale deal.

7. Ensure availability of stocks within required mix.

8. Handle customers with a view to close a sale.

9. Assist and guide branches in achieving their targets.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Conceptualize and design an appropriate marketing strategy and put in place

sound marketing processes.

2. Product planning depending on customer preferences.

3. Advertising and sales promotion budgeting and optimal utilization

4. Conceptualize sales promotional activities. Preparation of advertisements calendar

and its implementation and plan Moosa campaigns / promotions and launches.

5. Develop customer specs/ target customers segment with a view to prospect.

6. Define customer segment and conceptualize sales plans and strategies.

7. Guide and motivate the sales staff.

8. Plan and monitor sales calls of sales staff. Develop database. Review and Follow up wherever required.

9. Train sales staff in product awareness, making presentations and demonstrations.

10. Obtain leads through contacts and assign leads to the sales staff of the territory.

11. All matters regarding the upkeep and maintenance of the show room including exhibition of products and housekeeping.

12. Design formats for collection of information on competition, collect information and review periodically.

13. Focus on training Sales employees for upselling of auto accessories, etc.

14. Develop a sales documentation check list. Check all sales documentation, follow of procedures and ensure its correctness.

15. Visit institutions and explore possibilities for bulk (fleet) sales. Make presentations and follow up.

16. Develop formats to assess customer satisfaction levels, periodically obtain feedback and take corrective action wherever required.

17. Periodically analyze the models sold and arrive at the product mix for stock. Forecast sales and place orders. Price models suitably.

18. Handle customer objections and complaints on behalf of the staff.

19. Obtain product complaints from the customers and inform marketing for taking it up with the manufacturers.

20. Hold vehicle stocks and be accountable for stocks.

21. Anticipate and solve problems – be proactive in approach.

22. Ensure implementation of IT efforts in the department / function.

23. Work in close co-ordination with the Pre owned cars division, CRM & Marketing.
