As a Procurement Engineer specializing in Sewage Pipeline Projects your role is pivotal in the successful execution of sewage infrastructure initiatives. You will be responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing materials and services required for sewage pipeline projects while ensuring compliance with local regulations and maintaining the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and possess 7 to 10 years of experience in the Saudi market, particularly in sewage pipeline projects

 

Job Responsibilities

·         Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and engage with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers specializing in sewage pipeline materials and services. Negotiate and establish contractual agreements, terms, and conditions with vendors to secure favorable pricing and delivery arrangements. Regularly assess vendor performance, including quality, delivery, and adherence to project schedules.

·         Material and Equipment Procurement: Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to determine the precise material and equipment requirements for sewage pipeline projects. Source, procure, and oversee the delivery of materials, equipment, and machinery in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. Maintain a comprehensive database of approved suppliers and products.

·         Cost Analysis and Budget Management: Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for procurement activities, ensuring alignment with project budgets and schedules. Continuously monitor and control procurement costs to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints. Identify opportunities for cost savings and explore alternative sourcing options.

·         Quality Assurance: Enforce strict adherence to quality and safety standards for all procured materials, equipment, and services. Implement and maintain robust quality control processes to inspect and assess products and materials upon delivery. Resolve any quality-related issues or discrepancies with suppliers promptly.

·         Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of all procurement activities, including contracts, agreements, and correspondences. Generate comprehensive reports on procurement performance, encompassing cost analysis, vendor evaluations, and project progress. Regularly communicate procurement-related updates to management.

·         Compliance and Regulations: Stay abreast of local and international regulations and standards governing sewage pipeline projects. Ensure that all procurement activities are in full compliance with relevant regulations and corporate policies.

·         Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with procurement activities and devise strategies for risk mitigation. Participate in risk assessments and contingency planning, addressing any procurement-related issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.

Requirements

·         Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

·         7-10 years of proven experience in procurement, with a strong focus on sewage pipeline projects in the Saudi market.

·         Deep knowledge of sewage pipeline processes, materials, and equipment.

·         Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.

·         Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

·         Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.
