Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Executive to join our finance team in Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and compliance. This role requires a graduate in commerce with 5-10 years of relevant experience in managing financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting. The Accounts Executive will play a vital role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
· Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
o Process financial transactions, ensuring proper coding and documentation.
· Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial statements. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Generate financial analysis reports to assist in decision-making.
· Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable by verifying and processing invoices, tracking expenses, and ensuring timely payments. Oversee accounts receivable, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on collections.
· Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts. Provide insights and analysis on budget variances.
· Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and prepare tax returns.
o Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the organization.
· Financial Audits: Collaborate with external auditors during annual financial audits. Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit queries.
· Compliance and Documentation: Maintain financial policies and procedures in compliance with accounting standards. Organize and maintain financial records, both electronically and in hard copy.
· Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Make recommendations for cost control and revenue enhancement.
· Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team to ensure seamless financial operations. Provide support to colleagues and management as needed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Commerce or a related field.
· 5-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
· Strong understanding of financial principles, standards, and regulations.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Knowledge of Omani tax regulations is a plus.
