The Mechanical Technicians specializing in Heavy Commercial Vehicles will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy-duty commercial vehicles Such as trucks, buses, cranes etc., ensuring they operate at optimal performance levels within our leading automotive industry in Bahrain.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy commercial vehicles including trucks, buses, and other large vehicles.
· Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire replacements to ensure vehicle reliability and longevity.
· Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using specialized diagnostic equipment.
· Overhaul and rebuild engines, transmissions, and other major components as necessary.
· Collaborate closely with the parts and inventory department to ensure availability of necessary components and spare parts.
· Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for compliance and reporting purposes.
· Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians, assisting in skill development and training initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Experienced in service & repair activities for all types of mechanical & hydraulic systems on Heavy vehicles (Buses, Trucks etc..) and Heavy machinery (Earthmoving Eqpt, Cranes, etc.) independently
· Experienced in major unit overhauls in similar large Multi franchise Heavy Vehicle & Equipment dealerships.
· Candidates must have at least a 2 yr. ITI course with 6 – 8 years of hands on experience or Diploma in Automotive or Mechanical Eng. with 4 – 6 years hands on experience with good working knowledge .
· Proficiency in English language to read and interpret Mechanical, hydraulic & electrical schematics and carry out trouble shooting & repair.
· Familiarity with Job safety, use of special tools & lifting safety.
· Expertise in heavy commercial vehicle maintenance and repair techniques.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.
· Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
