The COO role is a key member of the senior management team, reporting only to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). You’ll have to maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader. If you also have excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics, we’d like to meet you.

The goal of the COO position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

·         Develop and implement sales, gross profit, expense budgets and plans, facilitate the allocation of resources to capitals and equipment as well as human resources to deliver target operational results.

·         Aggressively manage capital investment and expenses to ensure the company exceeds budgeted targets relative to growth and profitability.

·         Provide leadership to Dealership, be accountable for Quality, Operational Excellence, Supply Chain, Procurement & HSE and implement value adding changes to achieve synergy and efficiency across all functions in the organization.

·         Lead, develop, coach Regional General Managers and Sales and Business Managers

·         Work with external partners to help refine and enhance vendor relationships.

·         Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management and annual operation plan

·         Identify new business opportunities including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products, and services; closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations.

·         Develop and drive expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)

·         Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials, examines risks and potentials for these business opportunities.

 

Minimum Qualification and Experience

·         Masters in Business Administration.

·         A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a management capacity in the Automotive industry

·         In depth knowledge of budgets and financial statements.

·         Comfortable with team coaching and communication.

·         Strong proficiency in MS Office Software.

·         Excellent reading, writing and comprehension in English, working knowledge of Spanish or French an asset.

  • Proven experience as Chief Operating Office or relevant role
  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
