We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at a leading FMCG group in Oman. As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper dispensing of pharmaceuticals and providing expert advice on healthcare products. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory, interacting with customers, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Responsibilities:
Medication Dispensing:
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and provide over-the-counter products to customers.
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical guidelines for pharmaceutical practice.
- Verify prescription information and dosage instructions.
Customer Interaction:
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, offering advice on health-related issues, and recommending suitable products.
- Counsel customers on the proper use, potential side effects, and interactions of medications.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage pharmaceutical inventory to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Conduct regular stock audits and manage expiry dates of medications.
- Place orders for pharmaceutical supplies as needed.
Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals:
- Work closely with healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team to optimize treatment outcomes.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records of prescriptions, dispensing, and inventory.
- Stay updated on changes in pharmaceutical regulations and industry trends.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the pharmacy.
- Implement measures to prevent medication errors and promote a safe working environment.
Continuing Education:
- Stay abreast of advancements in pharmaceuticals and healthcare by participating in continuous education and professional development programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
- Valid pharmacist license from the Oman Ministry of Health.
- Proven experience working as a Pharmacist in a retail or hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
