Job Summary:
Assume overall management responsibility, functioning under the guidance of the Senior General Manager, with all operational Departments, reporting to him. Initiate, devise, and plan budgets, business strategy and tactical sales activities, monitor business unit-wise business progress in accordance with set objectives, ensure profitability of each business vertical, build and maintain business relations with customers including CXO levels, principals, vendors and suppliers, ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Explore opportunities for diversification and growth in ICT Industry in UAE.
Job Responsibilities
• :Assisting the Senior General Manager in business planning for all Business units within the Company.
• Assuming responsibility for the P&L of the Company..
• Achieving set objectives of sales turnover, gross margins and net profits for each business vertical.
• General Administration of the Company
• Identifying market opportunities for each business vertical and estimating potential business volumes.
• Understanding and complying with the company's internal business processes, regulations and documentary requirements.
• Monitoring sales plans set by individual Business Units.
• Maintaining relations with key customers across all business verticals, especially at CXO levels at Telecom Operators including Etisalat and DU.
• Developing, motivating and managing the sales & support staff and guiding them, towards business goals.
• Creating a market intelligence mechanism and maintaining a proper database of market information & competitors.
• Improving and building on relations with business associates such as principals, vendors, suppliers and service sub-contractors.
• Establishing new businesses within the ICT Industry both in ICT active & ICT passive equipment businesses.
• Motivate Senior managers and empower direct reports by providing the necessary tools and support required to support company goals.
• Plan, manage, and review individual performance and provide regular feedback, development and coaching, taking prompt action where necessary.
• Establish clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility and monitor the workflow of the Organization.
• Build opportunities for team members to suggest, participate in and contribute to improvement, innovation and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Provide guidance and ensure that all team members complies with policies, processes, practices and systems.
Required Qualifications:
• Preferably Graduate in engineering/commerce with additional post-graduate qualifications in business management.
• Experience of at least 20 years in managing diversified business operations in ICT System integration businesses, Telecom Networks System Integration businesses, active/passive telecom network equipment, Telecom Networks OEM business, Telecom network services business or Telecom OSS / BSS business (or a combination of these) in a highly competitive system integration environment, of which at least 10 years should have been in the GCC.
• Should currently, be heading a business entity related to Telecom System integration business, with full P&L responsibility.
• Relationships with senior management including CXOs of Etisalat and DU telecom operators in UAE are most preferable.
• Additional exposure to a varied range of businesses is desirable. Weightage would go towards experience in Telecom Network system integration and related areas. Concurrent knowledge of contemporary technology, engineering products, and infrastructure is desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of all aspects of business management such as planning, strategy setting, budgeting and P&L control and monitoring.
• Highly self-motivated and target-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to carry the team.
• Highly developed skills in all forms of communication.
