Description:
The company is looking for a fabric technician whose duties should be focused on developing and improving the fabrics (synthetic & natural). The candidate should have the necessary skills, experiences and knowledge to meet the company’s requirements, specifications and standards of wide range of fabrics and provide technical advice to sales, marketing, quality and production staff.
In addition, the candidate should be hard-working individual with the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, loyal to the company, strong team player and enjoy working in a diverse and challenging environment.
Responsibilities
• Communicate with suppliers and follow up on raw material orders once quality signed off by the manufacturer.
• Raise and obtain necessary approval concerning Procurement Form/ PO.
• Follow up on Lab dip, shipment samples, testing's and inspection approvals.
• Get PI's from suppliers, check and confirm, give shipping instructions.
• Follow up on Sample ydgs for catalogue making.
• Follow up with suppliers for on-time shipments and logistics arrangements with forwarders.
• Follow up on shipping documents and arranging payments.
• Follow up shipment clearance process with forwarders.
• Follow up with finance, stores for GRN process and fabric inspection process.
• If any defects/ issues on fabric, communicate with the management and supplier.
• Monitor minimum stock levels and process re-ordering on time.
• Attend daily issues coming from stores, production and quality departments.

Qualification Required
• Degree in Textile Engineering
• Fabric Technician should have a minimum of 10 years in retail industry in reputed companies.
