Description:

The Procurement Executive plays a vital role in the procurement activities of our leading FMCG group in Oman. This position involves sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services essential for our operations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement. Prior experience in the GCC region is advantageous.
Responsibilities:
• Source, negotiate, and purchase goods and services required for the company's operations.
• Evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of quality products at the best possible prices.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while seeking opportunities to develop new partnerships.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, finance, and logistics teams, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with business objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Implement and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Participate in supplier performance evaluations and contribute to supplier development initiatives.
• Resolve any procurement-related issues or disputes in a timely and effective manner.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in procurement technologies to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, and contract management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software or ERP systems.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in the GCC region is a plus.
