We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced General Manager to lead our insurance broker firm in Oman. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the insurance industry, relevant experience in Oman, and possess higher qualifications or certifications related to insurance. The General Manager will be responsible for driving business growth, managing operations, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the team, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives. Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all business processes. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
• Business Development: Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability. Identify new business opportunities and expand the client base. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders.
• Client Management: Ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients, meeting or exceeding their expectations. Address client inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and effective manner. Monitor and improve client satisfaction and retention rates.
• Financial Management: Oversee the financial performance of the firm, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost savings. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Develop and implement risk management strategies to protect the firm and its clients. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching. Promote continuous learning and development within the team.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ACII, CPCU) is highly preferred.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
3. Proven experience in the insurance sector in Oman, with a strong understanding of the local market.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
