Description:
Purpose of Position:
1. Ensure achievement of sales targets for Parts business and manage as a profit center.
2. Ensure achievement of profitability targets.
3. Ensure availability of required parts for service function.
Major Roles:
1. Put in place proper inventory processes; establish procedures, policies and systems.
2. Assess potential of parts business. Draw budgets to maximize sales and profitability.
3. Draw up list of alternate suppliers and negotiate rates to ensure profitability as envisaged to tide over urgent & emergency requirements of stock out parts especially for service.
4. Draw up sales strategies to enhance the sales and growth of the business including diversification and addition of portfolios.
5. Guide and motivate staff to ensure proper performance.
6. Work towards achieving silver and gold award for parts excellence from General Motors
7. Develop export sales and ensure volumes, profits and growth.
8. Assist and guide the branches in furthering the parts business.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Develop a purchase and ordering policy.
2. Develop, plan and implement sales and promotion strategies to increase customer base for achieving targets and growth of business.
3. Scan the market for addition of fast moving and profitable product ranges and portfolios.
4. Handle and manage all staff related issues. Periodically hold departmental meetings to understand the small needs of employees and take corrective actions. Ensure high morale of staff always.
5. On a continuous basis train and develop staff.
6. Develop strategies to maintain good relationship with the customers and handle complaints.
7. Visit export and local customers, establish sound rapport and draw up strategies to maintain good relationships with them.
8. Assist the Branch Managers in improving parts and sales.
9. Liquidate non-moving parts and salvage reasonable price.
10. Maintain the stores and inventory and devise methodologies to prevent pilferages and thefts.
11. Put in place housekeeping and safety procedures to ensure safe and attractive working environment
12. Establish and maintain good working relations with other departments especially service to reduce conflict and maximize profitability.
13. Ensure implementation of IT efforts in the department / function.

Minimum Requirements
· Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
· A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a management capacity in the Automotive industry
· In depth knowledge of budgets and financial statements.
· Comfortable with team coaching and communication.
· Strong proficiency in MS Office Software.
· Excellent reading, writing and comprehension in English, working knowledge of Spanish or French an asset.
· Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
· Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
· Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
· Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
