Job Summary
To take control and manage the operations of the warehouse & logistics
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals
· Manage warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods
· Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
· Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
· Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service
· Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations
· Conduct perpetual inventory check on stipulated intervals and furnish deviations reports to the Management.
· Resolve any arising problems or complaints
· Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
· Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
· Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
· Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
Logistics Management
· Support smooth execution of logistics operations
· Implement financial metrics and associated KPIs for supply-chain network and vendors
· Develop and implement global transportation cost-savings programs for year-over-year savings
· Ensure statutory approvals from Government entities such low voltage permit, Gmark approvals, EER, etc. are secured on-time to facilitate importing the products
· Maintain awareness of industry and global logistics trends that will benefit company in the marketplace
- Oversee daily operations for outbound logistics while controlling and managing costs
- Prepare reports and review progress on daily basis for inbound and outbound shipments
- Liaise and negotiate with shipping lines and forwarders to negotiate freight rates and arrange for nominating shipments
- Arrange for delivery, plan routes and optimize the outbound operations
- Supervise daily warehouse / logistics activities,
- Ensure inventory control, space management, smooth functioning of logistics
- Schedule and oversee warehouse team, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
- Inspect equipment / tools / vehicles and oversee general maintenance when necessary
- Oversee and manage logistics for importing goods and transporting products to customers efficiently
- Ensure the system stocks are reconciled and matching with actual inventory
- Ensuring deliveries to customers are completed within stipulated deadline
Qualifications:
· Degree holder
· 12-15 years or more of experience in Managing warehouse and logistics for electronics / appliances preferably
· Proficiency with warehouse as well as logistics procedures and policies
· Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
· Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff
· Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal
referred skills and qualifications
· Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in logistics or supply chain management
· Proficiency with SCM+ for warehouses
· License to operate a forklift
· Ability to communicate in more than one language
