Description:

• Identify customers and negotiate business deals for parts sales and operations.
• Maintain effective relations with customers and other key external parties to develop Parts Sales and Operations plan to ensure the efficient execution in order to facilitate business and achieve or exceed part sales and operations targets.
• Oversee pre-delivery inspection, parts requirements, new model stock order, pre-bookings trends, back orders, inventory control and body shop to ensure the right parts are available and there is no delay or loss of labour hours due to lack of co-ordination.
• Establish liaison with ZAG’s offices regarding parts orders and ensure ordering targets are met.
• Create reports, market data and analyses on a regular basis so as to ensure proper communication and, in turn, appropriate service is delivered to customers.
• Ensure the placement of parts orders in order to replenish stock to meet the business requirements.
• Ensure the inventory cycle count of all parts is completed in a timely manner and achieve optimal inventory levels.
• Establish parts inventory stock levels for maximum turnover and adjust inventory stock levels to minimize obsolescence and inventory carrying costs.
• Ensure the distribution of spare parts is distributed in order to meet requirements of parts sales and service workshops in different locations.
• Supervise parts warehouse in order to ensure efficient and secure storage of parts and easy retrieval of parts when required. Set up a well-designed parts storage system which enables parts to be easier located and retrieve.
• Ensure the effective achievement of the ZAG’s Parts function objectives through the leadership of the Parts department – setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance.
• Prepare the Parts Sales and Operations budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.


Requirements

• Graduates or a relevant technical or business oriented discipline
Experience:
• Minimum 4 to 6 years overall Parts experience preferably in the automotive industry.

• Valid driving licence


• Ensure streamlined Parts Procurement Policies and Procedures are implemented in line with the procurement strategy.
• Establishing competitive pricing specifications in various categories while generating sufficient profits and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Determining appropriate inventory levels while ensuring periodic parts turnover.
• Confirming that parts are appropriately coded so the dealership can claim a complete refund for unused factory stock.
• Reviewing sales figures, costs and stock monthly to ensure budget benchmarks are met
