We are seeking a highly experienced Quarry Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Marble quarry. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in quarry management and a strong understanding of the industry's standards and regulations. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operational Management: Oversee all quarry operations, ensuring efficient and safe extraction of materials. Manage the planning and scheduling of operations to meet production targets. Monitor the quality of materials produced and ensure compliance with industry standards.
· Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all operations are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines. Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and ensure the quarry operates within these parameters.
· Resource Management: Manage and optimize the use of resources, including equipment, manpower, and raw materials. Oversee the maintenance of all quarry equipment and machinery to ensure minimal downtime. Implement cost-effective measures to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
· Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of workers, providing training and development opportunities. Foster a positive work environment and ensure clear communication across all levels of the team. Handle recruitment, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
· Financial Management: Develop and manage the quarry's budget, ensuring cost control and profitability. Analyze financial data and prepare reports for senior management. Identify and implement strategies for improving financial performance.
· Stakeholder Management: Liaise with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
· Maintain strong relationships with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
· Address any operational challenges and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
· A minimum of 10 years of experience in quarry management or a related role.
· Strong knowledge of quarry operations, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
· Proven leadership and team management skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in relevant software and technologies.
· Preferred Skills:
· Experience working in the Middle East, particularly Oman.
· Knowledge of local regulations and industry practices.
