The Operations Manager will oversee and manage the daily operations of the Rent a Car Division for a leading automotive group in Oman. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least 15 years in the car rental industry, with significant experience in managing an international franchise. This role requires strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a deep understanding of customer service and fleet management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including fleet management, vehicle maintenance, and customer service. Ensure efficient processes are in place for vehicle rentals, returns, and fleet optimization. Monitor and improve operational efficiency and productivity across all locations.
· Franchise Management: Ensure compliance with the international franchise’s operational standards, policies, and procedures. Maintain strong relationships with the franchise’s regional and global offices. Implement and adapt global best practices to the local market.
· Financial Management: Develop and manage the division’s budget, including revenue targets and cost control measures. Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to maximize profitability. Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure financial targets are met.
· Customer Service: Ensure the highest level of customer service across all rental locations. Address and resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely manner. Implement customer service initiatives to improve satisfaction and retention.
· Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operations staff, including branch managers and support staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
· Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with local regulations and international franchise standards. Oversee the implementation of safety protocols and procedures to protect customers, staff, and assets. Regularly review and update operational policies to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
· Bachelors Degree in a Relevant Field with a Management Degree is preferred.
· At least 15 years of solid experience in the car rental industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
· Prior experience managing an international franchise is highly preferred.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Excellent financial and analytical skills.
· Deep understanding of car rental operations and fleet management.
· Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
· Proficient in using operations management software and tools.
· Experience working in the Middle East or similar markets.
· Knowledge of local regulations and industry standards in Oman.
