Description:
· Oversee and manage all logistics and freight forwarding operations, including inbound and outbound shipments.
· Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation costs and improve delivery efficiency.
· Coordinate with shipping companies, customs authorities, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth and timely operations.
· Monitor and ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations and trade laws.
· Manage freight contracts, negotiate rates, and ensure cost-effective logistics solutions.
· Supervise the movement of goods and materials to minimize delays and ensure timely deliveries.
· Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and third-party logistics providers to ensure service excellence.
· Oversee supply chain operations, including inventory control, warehousing, and distribution.
· Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
· Ensure accurate documentation and reporting for all logistics and shipping activities.
· Manage the performance of logistics and freight forwarding teams, providing leadership and development opportunities.
Key Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
· 10-15 years of experience in logistics and freight forwarding, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
· In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs laws, and freight forwarding processes.
· Proven experience in optimizing logistics operations, reducing costs, and improving delivery times.
· Strong negotiation skills and experience in handling vendor contracts and rate negotiations.
· Ability to manage multiple logistics providers and coordinate across departments for seamless operations.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in logistics management software and MS Office applications.
