Description:
The Accounts and Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, optimizing financial performance, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role requires expertise in financial management, budgeting, and reporting for a logistics and freight-forwarding company, with a focus on handling accounts for offices in Dubai, Tashkent, and India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) and present insights to senior management.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
- Consolidate financial data from multiple offices (Dubai, Tashkent, Russia, and India).
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the budgeting process, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Work closely with department heads to review budgets and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for cost-saving and process improvements.
- Accounts Management:
- Supervise the maintenance of accounts for the company’s three warehouses, airport operations, and multiple offices (Umramoul, JAFZA, Tecom).
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and international accounting standards (IFRS).
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to all financial regulations in Dubai and other operating countries.
- Monitor cash flow, manage financial risks, and ensure the company has the necessary resources to meet its obligations.
- Handle tax compliance, VAT reporting, and audits.
- Payroll & Benefits:
- Oversee payroll processing for employees across different regions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local labor laws.
- Ensure that the company's benefits and financial policies align with regulatory requirements and internal goals.
- Logistics & Freight Finance:
- Provide financial oversight of logistics and freight-forwarding operations, especially concerning warehousing and dangerous goods.
- Work with warehouse managers to optimize inventory accounting, costing, and profitability of storage operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA/ACCA qualification is preferred).
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in finance/accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial position preferably cross geographical area
- Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industries is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) and local financial regulations in Dubai.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
