Description:

A leading automotive group in Oman is seeking a seasoned Head of Spare Parts Procurement to oversee and optimize the procurement of spare parts. The ideal candidate will manage supplier relationships, ensure cost-effective procurement, and maintain a high level of parts availability while driving operational efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Develop and execute procurement strategies for spare parts that align with the company’s goals.

·         Lead, manage, and mentor the spare parts procurement team.

·         Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate optimal terms.

·         Ensure timely procurement and availability of spare parts to support the company's operational needs.

·         Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and quality improvement.

·         Manage and analyze inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations.

·         Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, sales, and aftersales, to ensure seamless parts supply.

·         Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency.

·         Implement and manage procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

·         Prepare and manage the procurement budget and forecast spare parts needs.

·         Ensure all parts meet quality and safety standards.

·         Develop performance metrics and KPIs for procurement efficiency.

Requirements:

·         Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA would be an advantage.

·         Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the automotive spare parts sector.

·         Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.

·         Proven experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.

·         Knowledge of spare parts procurement, including sourcing from local and international suppliers.

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.

·         Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.:

·         Experience working in the GCC region.

·         Knowledge of automotive parts and industry standards.
