Job Summary
Lead and manage electro-mechanical projects in water and wastewater pumping station,
ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards. Collaborate with crossfunctional
teams to design, develop, and implement complex electro-mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning:
- Develop project scope, schedules, and budgets for water and wastewater Pumping stations.
- Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Define project milestones and deliverables.
2. Team Management:
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors (mechanical, electrical, Instrumentation).
- Mentor and train team members.
- Allocate resources and tasks.
3. Design and Development:
- Design and development of electro-mechanical systems for water and wastewater pumping
stations, Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Conduct design reviews and testing.
- Knowledge of Instrumentation and controls systems and PLC
4. Procurement and Supply Chain:
- Manage vendor selection and procurement processes for equipment and materials.
- Coordinate logistics and inventory management.
5. Construction and Commissioning:
- Supervise installation and commissioning of electro-mechanical systems.
- Ensure safety protocols and quality control.
6. Client Management:
- Communicate project status and progress to clients (e.g., Nama Water services).
- Manage client expectations and concerns.
7. Financial Management:
- Monitor project expenses and budgets.
- Submission of Invoices to client and billing
Requirements:
1. Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Master's degree or MBA preferred.
2. Experience:
- 15+ years of experience in electro-mechanical project management in water and
wastewater sector.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery on full life cycle
3. Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Familiarity with industry standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Professional certifications (e.g., PMP).
2. Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
3. Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
