Description:
A leading automotive group in Oman is seeking a highly experienced Inventory and Procurement Manager specializing in spare parts. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of experience in managing the procurement and inventory of automotive spare parts, ensuring optimal stock levels and efficient procurement processes to meet business demands.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee the procurement of automotive spare parts, ensuring timely and cost-efficient purchasing to meet the company's operational needs.
· Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability, preventing overstocking and shortages.
· Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with business goals and market conditions.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring quality and timely deliveries.
· Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
· Collaborate with internal departments (sales, service, operations) to forecast demand and plan stock accordingly.
· Implement and improve inventory control procedures to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards in all procurement activities.
· Conduct regular market analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and competitive pricing.
· Prepare and present inventory and procurement performance reports to senior management.
· Lead and mentor the procurement and inventory teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and high standards.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Minimum of 12 years of experience in procurement and inventory management, with a focus on automotive spare parts.
· Strong understanding of spare parts supply chain processes and inventory management techniques.
· Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts effectively.
· Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP software.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
· Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
· Experience working in the automotive spare parts industry in the GCC region.
· Familiarity with local market conditions and supplier networks in Oman.
