Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop systems, software, and network equipment. This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• New Desktop PC – Installation and Configuration: Set up and configure new desktop PCs for end-users.
• Desktop PC OS – Firmware Upgradation: Perform firmware upgrades on desktop operating systems.
• CCTV Monitoring and Co-ordinating with Vendor in Case of Breakdown Call: Monitor CCTV systems and coordinate with vendors for any breakdowns.
• CCTV Data Retrieval: Retrieve data from CCTV systems as required.
• Network & Local Printer and Print Server Installation and Configuration: Install and configure network and local printers, including print servers.
• Domain User Creation, Reset Password: Create domain user accounts and handle password resets.
• Join the Workstation to Domain Network: Join workstations to the domain network.
• Tally Software Installation: Install Tally software on designated systems.
• MS Office and Windows OS Installation and Troubleshooting: Install and troubleshoot Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
• Antivirus Agent Installation & Configuration: Install and configure antivirus agents on workstations.
• Network Switch Installation & Configuration: Install and configure network switches.
• Network Patch Cord Cable Crimping: Perform network patch cord cable crimping.
• UPS Health Check and NMC Card Configuration: Conduct health checks on UPS systems and configure NMC cards.
• PABX System Knowledge – Creating a New Extension / Existing Device Configuration: Manage PABX systems by creating new extensions and configuring existing devices.
• Call Monitoring Report Generation: Generate call monitoring reports.
• Branch Link Monitoring: Monitor branch network links for connectivity and performance.
• Co-ordinating with Vendor in Case of Hardware Failure: Coordinate with vendors for hardware failures and repairs.
• Time Attendance Device Installation and Configuration: Install and configure time attendance devices.
• Employee Fingerprint Enrollment: Enroll employee fingerprints for access control systems.
• Internet Related Connection Issue Co-ordinating with Vendor: Coordinate with vendors for internet connectivity issues.
• Managing the Skip Lino Device and Configuration: Manage and configure skip line devices.
• Traffic Printer and Website Related Issue Co-ordinating with Vendor: Coordinate with vendors for traffic printer and website-related issues.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in desktop support or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with network equipment, printers, and CCTV systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
