Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Service Engineer cum Trainer to join our team at a leading automotive group in Bahrain. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for managing service operations and providing training and technical support to our service teams and clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in automotive engineering, with a proven track record in service management and training delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Engineering:
- Oversee and manage the service operations, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues for automotive products.
- Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely and effective completion of service tasks.
- Lead and implement diagnostic tests, repairs, and preventive maintenance for a wide range of automotive products.
- Develop and review service reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline service processes, improve efficiency, and maintain high service standards.
Training and Development:
- Design and conduct technical training programs for service engineers, technicians, and customers on product knowledge, repair techniques, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Create training materials, presentations, and manuals that align with the latest industry practices and technological advancements.
- Deliver hands-on training sessions, workshops, and seminars for new hires and ongoing employee development.
- Assess the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements based on feedback and performance analysis.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in automotive technology and service innovations to ensure training content remains relevant.
Customer Support:
- Provide expert advice and guidance to customers regarding service needs, maintenance schedules, and technical issues.
- Assist in escalated customer queries and complaints, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and effective problem resolution.
- Ensure proper follow-up and communication with customers throughout the service process.
Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive service engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or training role.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and servicing complex automotive systems (e.g., electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic systems).
- Previous experience delivering training to technical teams and customers is highly preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and service management software.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
