The General Manager / Assistant General Manager (AGM) - Mining and GabbroStone will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of mining operations and the processing of Gabbro stone within the organization. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in the mining industry, with a proven track record of leadership and operational excellence. Prior experience in Oman is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic plans for mining operations and Gabbro stone processing to achieve business objectives and maximize profitability.
Oversee daily mining activities, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Manage and lead a team of mining professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional development.
Monitor and analyze operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Collaborate with senior management to set financial targets, budgets, and resource allocation for mining projects.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government authorities, suppliers, and community representatives.
Ensure effective utilization of mining equipment and resources to optimize production efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance mining processes and Gabbro stone quality.
Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, financial status, and project progress to senior management and executive board.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 15 years of experience in the mining industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
Proven experience in mining operations, project management, and resource planning.
Prior experience in Oman and a strong understanding of the local mining landscape and regulations is highly preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in relevant mining software and tools.
