Description:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Technician to join our team at a leading automotive group in Oman. The Senior Technician will be responsible for performing advanced diagnostic, repair, and maintenance work on a range of vehicles, ensuring high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with vehicle systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to mentor junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on various automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, and HVAC.

  • Conduct routine maintenance services on vehicles such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and more.

  • Inspect vehicles for signs of wear and tear, and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.

  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the workshop.

  • Ensure that all work is completed efficiently, within the specified time frame, and to the highest standards.

  • Maintain and update accurate records of services performed, parts used, and labor hours.

  • Keep up to date with the latest automotive technologies, tools, and repair techniques.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

  • Collaborate with the service manager and other departments to ensure timely and high-quality vehicle repairs.

  • Support in the training and development of junior team members to improve overall team performance.

  • Handle customer inquiries related to technical issues, providing accurate and timely information.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Technical diploma or degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience as an automotive technician, with at least 2-3 years in a senior technician role.

  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in vehicle diagnostics and repair using modern diagnostic tools.

    • Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.

    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Leadership abilities to mentor and guide junior technicians.

    • Familiarity with Omani safety regulations and standards.

    • Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to overall department goals.
