Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Workshop Controller / Service Engineer to join our leading automotive group in Muscat. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient workflow, quality repairs, and excellent customer satisfaction. You will coordinate with technicians, service advisors, and parts departments while upholding manufacturer and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage day-to-day operations of the workshop to ensure timely and high-quality vehicle servicing and repairs.

Allocate jobs to technicians based on skill level and priority.

Monitor job progress and ensure efficient turnaround times.

Conduct quality checks on completed jobs and ensure compliance with OEM standards.

Support Service Advisors with technical diagnosis, job estimation, and customer updates.

Coordinate closely with the parts department to ensure availability of required components.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of manufacturer systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.

Ensure workshop equipment is calibrated and maintained.

Implement health, safety, and environmental standards in the workshop.

Maintain records of job cards, warranty claims, and service history.

Mentor and provide technical training to workshop staff.

Assist in achieving service targets including revenue, productivity, and customer satisfaction KPIs.
Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 5–8 years of experience in an automotive service environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or controller role.

OEM certifications (preferred).

Strong diagnostic and technical problem-solving skills.

Experience working with passenger and/or commercial vehicles (brand experience a plus).

Knowledge of service management systems (e.g., SAP, Kerridge, Autoline, CDK).

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

GCC experience and a valid Omani/GCC driving license preferred.
