A strategic and results-driven executive responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning of the organization. This role focuses on driving operational excellence, enhancing business performance, and ensuring alignment across functions such as sales, marketing, supply chain, and customer service. Acting as a key member of the executive leadership team, this position plays a vital role in translating the company’s vision into actionable strategies, optimizing internal processes, and fostering a high-performance culture.
The incumbent will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to ensure efficient execution of business plans, meet revenue and profitability goals, and drive sustainable growth. This role demands strong leadership, business acumen, and operational expertise to successfully scale operations and maintain competitive advantage.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant educational background and 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in the automotive industry, with a proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-brand, and multi-location operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operational Leadership
Ø Lead daily operations of the automotive business across all verticals: vehicle sales (new and pre-owned), after-sales service, parts, logistics, and customer service.
Ø Drive operational excellence and implement best practices in all areas to improve efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Ø Ensure adherence to brand principles, OEM guidelines, and company SOPs across dealerships and workshops.
· Strategic Planning & Execution
Ø Contribute to and execute the group’s strategic vision and long-term business plans in alignment with the CEO and Board.
Ø Drive the expansion of the automotive division through new brand partnerships, product lines, and market development opportunities.
Ø Identify operational risks and opportunities, recommending solutions to improve business outcomes.
· Financial & Performance Management
Ø Oversee P&L for the automotive business, ensuring revenue targets, gross margins, and net profitability are achieved.
Ø Monitor key operational and financial KPIs, driving corrective actions when required.
Ø Optimize cost structures, inventory management, and working capital utilization.
· Team Development & Leadership
Ø Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing management team across all operational departments.
Ø Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, customer centricity, and operational excellence.
Ø Implement effective succession planning and talent development strategies within the automotive division.
· Customer Experience & Quality Management
Ø Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction across sales and service touchpoints.
Ø Oversee quality standards in service, repairs, and delivery processes while ensuring customer complaints are handled efficiently.
· Digital Transformation & Process Improvement
o Champion digital initiatives in operations to enhance efficiency, transparency, and customer engagement.
o Drive CRM, DMS, and other ERP systems to ensure real-time monitoring and operational efficiency.
o Identify and implement process improvements to drive productivity and reduce turnaround times.
Ø Stakeholder Management
o Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM principals, suppliers, and strategic partners.
o Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for operational alignment and compliance with regulatory requirements.
o Support marketing and business development initiatives for the automotive division.
Requirements:
· Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, or a relevant field. An MBA or equivalent advanced qualification will be an advantage.
· Experience: Minimum of 20 years of progressive leadership experience in the automotive industry, preferably in the Middle East, with extensive experience managing large-scale automotive operations.
· Proven track record of P&L management and operational leadership across multi-brand, multi-location environments.
· Strong knowledge of automotive retail operations, after-sales, service management, supply chain, and customer experience.
· Familiarity with ERP/DMS/CRM systems within the automotive industry.
· Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and execution capabilities.
· Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
