Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Control & Automation (C&A) Engineer to support the engineering team in the preparation, development, and review of control and instrumentation engineering deliverables. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Smartpant Instrumentation (SPI) and a deep understanding of instrumentation datasheets, wiring drawings, and vendor documents related to process control and safety systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Instrument Index from P&IDs using SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI).

  • Prepare and update Alarm and Trip Lists and Cause-and-Effect Charts.

  • Prepare Material Requisitions (MR), Purchase Requisitions (PR), and Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE).

  • Generate detailed datasheets for:

    • Control valves, ON-OFF valves, restriction orifices

    • Pressure, temperature, radar level, and DP level transmitters

    • Choke valves, WHCP (Wellhead Hydraulic Control Panels), and hydraulic ON-OFF valves

    • Fire & Gas (F&G) detectors and analyzers

    • Package instruments and skids

  • Perform Vendor Document Reviews (VDR) for instruments and F&G devices.

  • Prepare Level Sketches and perform Level Calculations for process tanks and vessels.

  • Prepare and maintain Cable Schedules (including JB grouping) for both plant instrumentation and vendor packages.

  • Develop wiring diagrams and loop drawings using the SPI Wiring Module for Foundation Fieldbus (FF) and HART protocols.

  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electronics, or related discipline.

  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas or process industry.

  • Proficiency in SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) is essential.

  • In-depth knowledge of control systems, field instrumentation, and safety systems.

  • Familiarity with international standards (ISA, IEC, API, etc.).

  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in EPC or large-scale oil & gas projects.

  • Hands-on experience in Foundation Fieldbus (FF), HART, and vendor package integration.

  • Working knowledge of safety instrumented systems (SIS) and Fire & Gas systems.
