Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance operations of heavy equipment machinery in our quarry operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydraulics, diesel engines, pneumatic systems, and automation, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime of our HEM fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the maintenance activities for all Heavy Earth Moving (HEM) equipment in quarry operations.

  • Ensure optimal functioning of critical systems including hydraulics, diesel engines, pneumatic components, and automation technologies.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and technical issues with precision and efficiency.

  • Schedule and perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.

  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.

  • Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and vendors for technical support and spare parts procurement.

  • Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with environmental and operational regulations.

  • Lead and train maintenance technicians, promoting continuous improvement and skill development.

  • Monitor equipment usage patterns to identify areas for performance optimization.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.

  • 3–8 years of hands-on experience in HEM maintenance, preferably in stone crushing, quarrying, or mining industries.

  • Strong technical knowledge of:

    • Hydraulic systems

    • Diesel engine technology

    • Pneumatic systems

    • Automation in heavy equipment

  • Experience with quarry and processing machinery; prior experience with VOLVO machines is a strong advantage.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and operational excellence.

  • Ability to work in rugged environments and manage time-sensitive maintenance activities.
