Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician / Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair a wide range of heavy machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics for heavy-duty equipment used in construction, mining, or material handling.
Key Responsibilities

Perform routine servicing, inspections, and preventive maintenance of heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, dump trucks, cranes, and forklifts.

Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and manuals.

Repair or replace faulty parts such as transmissions, engines, hydraulic components, brakes, and electrical systems.

Conduct equipment overhauls, engine rebuilds, and component refurbishments as needed.

Maintain detailed service records, logs, and job cards for all maintenance and repair work performed.

Ensure all work complies with OEM standards, safety protocols, and operational procedures.

Coordinate with parts and service teams to ensure timely repairs and minimum equipment downtime.

Respond to field service calls and perform on-site repairs when necessary.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and workshop areas.
Requirements

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Diesel Mechanics, or related technical field.

3–7 years of experience working on heavy equipment or commercial vehicles.

Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and electrical diagnostics.

Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Physically fit and capable of working in field or workshop conditions.

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts if required.

Valid driver’s license (LMV or HMV is a plus).
