Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to manage and support our skilled workforce across a range of steel fabrication projects. This hybrid role involves a dynamic blend of technical operations, workforce coordination, client interaction, and recruitment support. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in steel fabrication and project execution, combined with people management skills and a proactive approach to client communication.
This role will evolve to include responsibilities within our upcoming in-house fabrication facility, offering long-term growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Sales & Marketing Support

Serve as a technical representative of the company during client visits and meetings.

Present the capabilities of the workforce, project execution methods, and successful case studies to potential clients.

Assist the sales and marketing teams in building client confidence through technical insights and execution planning.
2. Worker Supervision & HR Coordination

Lead the recruitment process for skilled workers such as welders, fitters, and fabricators by evaluating experience and technical capabilities.

Monitor and manage field workers' performance at various client job sites, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols.

Act as the primary point of contact for workforce-related concerns, including site issues, conflict resolution, and job assignments.

Coordinate the deployment and exit of workers at job sites in alignment with project timelines and contract requirements.
3. Project Execution & Operational Leadership

Collaborate with clients and internal teams to plan and execute fabrication projects effectively.

Participate in site inspections, kickoff meetings, and technical reviews to ensure alignment with client expectations.

Assist in setting up and optimizing future in-house fabrication operations, including workflow planning, staffing, and equipment coordination.
Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

3–5+ years of experience in steel fabrication, project engineering, or related roles.

Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding standards, and job site coordination.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with clients and workers alike.

Proven ability to lead teams, resolve on-site issues, and manage multi-site operations.

Familiarity with recruitment processes for technical/skilled labor is a strong advantage.

Willingness to travel to client job sites as required.
