Finance & Accounts Manager -
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the contracting company, including budgeting, cost control, cash flow management, and financial reporting. The role requires a strategic thinker with a solid understanding of project-based accounting and construction industry practices.
Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis
Develop and monitor budgets for multiple projects.
Conduct financial forecasts, cost analysis, and variance analysis.
Ensure accurate financial projections and investment planning.
Accounting & Compliance
Ensure compliance with local tax laws, VAT regulations, and audit requirements.
Maintain up-to-date records of financial transactions and contracts.
Project Cost Management
Monitor project costs, track actual vs. budgeted costs, and provide cost control recommendations.
Collaborate with project managers to analyze profitability and cost efficiency.
Cash Flow & Treasury
Manage company cash flow, payments, and collections.
Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Plan for funding requirements and manage credit facilities.
Reporting
Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, MIS reports, and performance dashboards.
Report financial performance to senior management with insights and recommendations.
Team Management
Supervise and develop the finance/accounting team.
Set departmental KPIs and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Qualifications & Requirements
Post Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred). Professional qualification (CA, CMA/ICW, ACCA, CPA) is highly desirable.
5–10 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in the contracting or construction industry.
Familiarity with TALLY ERP software
