Job Summary:
Responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement of commodities and branded FMCG products, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, timely availability of materials, and maintaining strong supplier relationships in alignment with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, source, and procure commodities and branded FMCG products locally and internationally.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Monitor market trends, commodity price fluctuations, and supplier performance.
- Manage purchase orders, inventory levels, and ensure uninterrupted supply to meet operational requirements.
- Coordinate with production, sales, warehouse, and finance teams for demand forecasting and procurement planning.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, import/export regulations, and quality standards.
- Prepare and analyze purchase reports, budgets, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and brand representatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within the FMCG industry (commodities and branded products).
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of local and international markets, supplier networks, and import/export documentation.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally) and MS Office, especially Excel.
