Position Overview
The Procurement Officer / Buyer will support day-to-day purchasing activities for materials, equipment, and services required in oil & gas or production operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in sourcing, vendor coordination, and inventory-related processes within the GCC region.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute purchase requests and ensure timely procurement of materials, components, consumables, and services.
- Source, evaluate, and select reliable vendors in Oman and other GCC markets.
- Obtain quotations, compare proposals, and support negotiation of prices and terms.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Stores teams to ensure materials meet project specifications and timelines.
- Monitor material availability, track orders, and update internal teams on delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records in material management or ERP systems.
- Assist with vendor performance evaluation and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and procurement policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of procurement/purchasing experience in:
- Oil & Gas
- Fabrication/Manufacturing
- Production or Engineering industries
- Engineering graduates with GCC experience preferred.
- Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
- Experience using material management or ERP software.
- Age range: 25–35 years preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
