Position Overview
The Head of Finance & Accounts / CFO will lead the financial strategy, governance, and performance of a large, diversified automobile business group in Oman. This role requires a senior finance leader with deep industry knowledge, strong decision-making skills, and extensive experience managing multi-entity financial operations within the GCC.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the group’s financial strategy aligned with business goals.
- Provide financial insights, risk assessment, and strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling.
2. Financial Operations & Controls
- Oversee all financial and accounting functions across multiple automotive business units.
- Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reporting.
- Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure adherence to IFRS and local statutory regulations.
3. Automotive Business Finance
- Manage financial operations of dealerships, workshops, spare parts, and distribution.
- Oversee stock/parts costing, warranty claims, incentive schemes, and OEM reporting.
- Analyze profitability of sales, workshop operations, and after-sales service.
- Ensure healthy financial performance across used cars, service revenues, and parts inventory.
4. Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and treasury activities.
- Ensure effective cash flow, working capital optimization, and fund allocation.
- Monitor receivables, financing structures, and cost control initiatives.
5. Audit, Compliance & Risk Management
- Lead statutory and internal audits.
- Implement risk mitigation policies and ensure full legal and tax compliance.
- Strengthen financial discipline and transparency.
6. Team Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead and mentor the finance & accounts team across all branches.
- Work closely with CEO, operational heads, OEM principals, banks, and external auditors.
- Drive digital transformation, ERP enhancement, and process automation.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory.
- 20+ years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts, with minimum 8–10 years in leadership roles.
- Automobile industry experience is strongly preferred (dealers, distributors, service centers).
- GCC working experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, taxation, banking, credit management, inventory control, and cost optimization.
- Proven leadership capabilities in managing diversified finance teams and multi-branch operations.
