Job Summary

The Finance & Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization, ensuring compliance with Omani regulations, managing financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and internal controls. The role requires strong experience in the Oil & Gas sector and familiarity with the Oman market.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Present financial reports and MIS to the Director.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and Omani financial regulations.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund management.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting.
  • Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support project costing and contract financial evaluation (Oil & Gas projects).

Accounts & Controls

  • Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger.
  • Maintain strong internal control systems and financial procedures.
  • Ensure timely bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Handle VAT compliance as per Oman Tax Authority guidelines.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with Omani labor law and corporate laws.

Strategic & Operational Support

  • Provide financial insights for business decisions.
  • Support tendering, pricing, and contract negotiations.
  • Oversee cost control measures and profitability analysis.

Team Management

  • Lead and mentor the finance & accounts team.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in financial processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce (Master’s preferred).
  • Professional qualification such as CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA (mandatory).
  • 8–15 years of experience in Finance & Accounts.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a similar role within Oil & Gas industry.
  • Preferably candidates with Oman market experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT (Oman), and financial regulations.
  • Experience in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally or similar).
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills.
