Job Purpose

The Project and Facilities Manager will be responsible for driving the expansion and development of the dealership network by identifying new business opportunities, evaluating strategic locations, and overseeing the planning and operational readiness of new facilities.

The role focuses on enhancing market presence through strategic planning, research, site acquisition, project coordination, and dealership performance evaluation aligned with the organization’s growth objectives.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Network Expansion & Strategic Planning

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential locations for business expansion.
  • Analyze demographic data, economic trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to support expansion decisions.
  • Develop short-term and long-term dealership network expansion strategies and roadmaps.
  • Evaluate the performance of existing dealership networks and identify gaps or improvement areas.
  • Recommend adjustments and improvements to network development strategies based on market performance and business needs.

Site Selection & Facility Development

  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend suitable locations for new dealership branches and facilities.
  • Assess site feasibility considering traffic flow, accessibility, population density, and competitor proximity.
  • Coordinate with real estate agents, consultants, architects, designers, and contractors for site acquisition and branch setup.
  • Oversee construction, fit-out, and operational readiness of new facilities ensuring compliance with company standards and brand guidelines.
  • Ensure all projects are completed within approved budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

Stakeholder & Project Management

  • Liaise with internal departments including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Operations for smooth project execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, contractors, consultants, government authorities, and external stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring stakeholder expectations are effectively addressed.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, challenges, and opportunities to senior management.

Financial Planning & Compliance

  • Develop and manage budgets related to network expansion and dealership development projects.
  • Collaborate with Finance teams to prepare business cases, ROI analyses, and financial forecasts for proposed projects.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, safety, operational, and company regulations across all facilities.
  • Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure timely approvals related to zoning, permits, licenses, and regulatory requirements.

Operational Excellence & Customer Focus

  • Ensure all dealership facilities meet operational readiness and brand standards prior to launch.
  • Track performance of new and existing dealerships using key operational and financial metrics.
  • Support marketing initiatives to enhance brand awareness in new markets.
  • Collect customer and dealership feedback to continuously improve expansion and network development efforts.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold company policies, procedures, and non-disclosure requirements.

Job Specifications

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 6–10 years of total experience with at least 5 years in a senior-level role in facilities management, network expansion, dealership development, or related field.
  • Experience in the automotive industry will be considered an added advantage.
