Job Purpose

To lead the product management function for the Passenger Vehicle and Electric Vehicle (EV) portfolio by coordinating with global OEMs, managing product lifecycle, supporting sales and marketing initiatives, analysing market trends, and ensuring competitive product positioning to maximize market share and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete product lifecycle for assigned Passenger Vehicle and EV brands.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the dealership and global OEMs for all product-related matters.
  • Develop annual product plans, model launch strategies, and sales forecasts.
  • Coordinate with OEMs on product specifications, pricing, model allocation, homologation, and product availability.
  • Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and customer analysis to identify emerging trends and business opportunities.
  • Recommend product mix, feature enhancements, pricing strategies, and promotional activities based on market intelligence.
  • Support sales teams by providing product training, technical information, sales tools, and competitive comparisons.
  • Plan and execute new model launches, facelift introductions, and product campaigns in coordination with the marketing team.
  • Work closely with supply chain, logistics, parts, aftersales, and finance departments to ensure smooth product availability and launch execution.
  • Monitor inventory levels, ageing stock, and production allocations while optimizing model mix.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, product profitability, and OEM KPIs.
  • Conduct showroom visits, dealer visits, customer interactions, and market surveys to improve customer satisfaction and product positioning.
  • Ensure compliance with OEM standards, brand guidelines, and corporate policies.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives, CRM activities, and data-driven product decisions.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • MBA in Marketing or Automotive Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 - 25 years of experience in Product Management, Product Planning, Brand Management, or Marketing within the automotive industry.
  • Experience with an authorized passenger vehicle dealership or automotive OEM is highly preferred.
  • GCC automotive experience is an added advantage.
